    Comment: THE KINKS Face To Face ( UK limited edition digitally remastered issue of their MONO track LP now pressed on gram Red Vinyl including Sunny Afternoon Dandy and Party Line. The hype-stickered picture sleeve shows a little shelfwear with a few pinchmarks at the edges but the vinyl appears barely played)/5(25).

    “Face to Face”, rightfully considered one of the best albums of the 60s, was also Ray Davies’ breakthrough album which announced a new style and direction for the Kinks. It was the first album that wasn’t a rush-job for Pye, a label that considered a week enough time to produce an album/5(83).

    “Face To Face” only made # in the U.S. and the only top 50 LP was the Reprise album, “Kinks-Size” in March, In America the Kinks were basically five singles. Many blame this on their tiff with the musicians’ union that got them banned from performing in America, but I think that’s overblown/5().
